June 8, 2010- Bluegrass Cellular has expanded its Ringback Tones service through a new partnership with Preferred Voice, Inc., a provider of mobile personalization and content services.
As opposed to ring tones, which are the external sounds phones make when called, ringback tones are the sounds callers hear on the line after dialing. When callers dial a Bluegrass Cellular customer, they might hear song clips from music’s top artists rather than the traditional rotary-style ring.
Through Preferred Voice’s Rockin’ RingbackTM, Bluegrass Cellular customers have access to a library of more than 40,000 digital audio files, including selections from Universal Music Group and other major labels, celebrity voice clips, sound effects and more.
The specific clip the caller hears depends on the personal ringback profile the phone’s owner creates either on the phone itself or through a website.
