Bluegrass Cellular to Award Scholarships

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY—Bluegrass Cellular, Inc. will award $1,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who attend school within their 38 county home coverage area.

Bluegrass Cellular will be awarding scholarships for the tenth year in a row. In previous years, eighteen deserving college-bound seniors from our coverage area were awarded $1,000 each to go towards their college education. Last year, we increased the $1,000 scholarship to $1,500 totaling $27,000 for the first year ever. In order to apply, you must be a high school senior graduating in the spring of 2011 and live in and attend school within Bluegrass Cellular’s 38-county home coverage area. In addition to the application, you will need to submit your high school transcript, three letters of recommendation, and an essay. The recipients are chosen based on financial need, academic achievement, school and community involvement and the personal essay. Winners will be notified in May 2011. Deadline is April 4th 2011.
