Bluegrass Cellular Launches Text Only Plan for Hearing Impaired
Elizabethtown, Ky. — Bluegrass Cellular, a cellular service provider and pioneer in the wireless industry in rural Kentucky, is launching a text only service plan for customers who, because of a disability, are unable to communicate over a voice network.
The new service plan will be available beginning July 1 and will provide text only access to Bluegrass Cellular’s nationwide service network. The new plan will offer unlimited text messaging for $20 per month on select devices. Any voice minutes will be billed at a rate of 10 cents per minute. A certification of disability will be required to be eligible for the text only service.
“We are pleased to offer a cost efficient text only option for individuals in our communities that are hearing impaired,” said Barry Nothstine, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Bluegrass Cellular. “This new service plan is part of our ongoing efforts to treat customers like good friends and offer products and services to meet their diverse needs.”
More information about the text only service plan is available at one of the company’s 21 customer care centers in Kentucky.
