Bluegrass Cellular Expands High-speed Coverage in Monroe County
Customers will experience faster network speeds
Tompkinsville, Ky. (July 15, 2010) – Bluegrass Cellular has expanded its third-generation (3G) evolution-data optimized (EVDO) high-speed wireless service in Tompkinsville. The expansion will upgrade service in the northern portion of the Tompkinsville around the intersection of state highways 1049 and 163, as well as improve EVDO coverage on state highway 1049 near the airport and along Center Point Road between Green Acres Road and Williams Road.
The expanded service means Bluegrass Cellular customers will experience faster picture and video messaging, faster game and ringtone downloads, faster wireless air cards for laptop computers and faster data speeds for PDAs and smartphones.

Bluegrass Cellular’s advanced 3G service provides speeds of up to 800+ kbps (kilobits per second) for phones and up to 1.2+ mbps (megabits per second) for PDAs, smartphones and wireless aircards.
