Elizabethtown, KENTUCKY – Today Bluegrass Cellular announced the availability of short code access to Twitter, a popular social networking site. Twitter fans that have Bluegrass Cellular service will be able to update, send and receive text messages using Twitter. To gain access, customers can set up their own Twitter profile online then text “follow username” to short code 40404 with a Bluegrass Cellular mobile device (where “username” is a registered Twitter username). Once the short code is activated, users can accept an invitation from a registered Twitter user via text or email. Subscribers can also opt in or opt out of the texting service using short code 40404.
