Bluegrass Cellular Announces 3G Coverage in Marion County

MARION COUNTY, KENTUCKY – Bluegrass Cellular recently improved 3G high speed data service coverage to their wireless network site located in Marion County.  The enhancement to the tower will introduce new 3G coverage to the city of Lebanon as well as to the communities of Calvary and Belltown.  This site will also add 3G coverage to Campbellsville Rd heading towards Taylor County. 3G high speed data access allows faster transmissions of pictures, web browsing, email access and other types of data while using handheld devices and wireless air cards.

“Marion County residents now have access to the fastest wireless speed available. This 3G upgrade can be compared to the speed variance between dial-up internet service and DSL internet service,” said Barry Nothstine, Director of Marketing and Product Development for Bluegrass Cellular, Inc. “We continue to focus our initiatives on strengthening our network and funneling all available resources into completing this task. We are determined to establish the best quality voice and data network. This vision includes the otherwise neglected rural areas across central Kentucky.”

Headquartered in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Bluegrass Cellular has been operating in Kentucky for over 19 years with 20 company owned retail locations and over 35 authorized agent locations. A pioneer in the wireless field in the state’s rural areas, Bluegrass was the first to offer digital cellular service to Central Kentucky in 1998.  For more information on Bluegrass Cellular and for local store hours and information, visit bluegrasscellular.com or call 1-800-928-CELL.
